The Travel Agency launched Project Pigeon on October 3 across its four Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, featuring a flock of 20 pigeons outfitted with custom mini-red backpacks designed to carry up to one gram. The campaign involved collaboration with professional pigeon handlers to reference historic mailing systems while reimagining modern delivery. The company clarified that the pigeons would never actually take to the skies and that the stunt served to build buzz ahead of an expansion of the dispensary's in-house delivery service. The campaign amassed over 2 million views, including a Fox 5 NY clip that reached 1.6 million on TikTok, sparked online debate, and increased social engagement tenfold.
