TikTok is rolling out a new subscription feature for its e-commerce platform, TikTok Shop, which allows users to automatically receive repeat shipments of products like vitamins and snacks while enjoying discounts. This move mirrors Amazon's subscribe-and-save tool and aims to provide sellers with more predictable revenue, allowing them to better manage inventory amid fluctuating sales. Although not available to all sellers, the feature represents TikTok's strategic effort to enhance its shop functionality and compete with established e-commerce players, especially as it recently gained momentum in the market.
Subscriptions on TikTok Shop are going to add convenience and savings, said Warren Jolly, CEO of the digital-ad firm adQuadrant.
