Shondaland Promotes Three Execs As It Expands Communications/Marketing, Consumer Products, Digital Marketing Footprints

Shondaland has elevated three executives to new roles as part of its strategy to grow its global footprint in communications, marketing, and digital media, marking its 20th anniversary. Alyssa Schimel has been promoted to VP of global content marketing, overseeing various content platforms, while Catherine Yan Lustro becomes senior director of global merchandise strategy, focusing on IP-based consumer products. Seth Plattner will serve as senior director of digital engagement, responsible for enhancing Shondaland's digital presence. Co-presidents Sandie Bailey and Chris DiIorio expressed excitement over these changes and growth opportunities.
"These new and expanded roles are a reflection of continued growth for Shondaland as our audience becomes more and more global," said Shondaland co-presidents Sandie Bailey and Chris DiIorio, in a joint statement.
Alyssa will oversee communications and marketing for all Shondaland content including streaming, broadcast, audio, digital, consumer products and experiences.
Yan Lustro will be tasked with developing and managing Shondaland's 'increasing IP-based consumer product strategies.'
In Plattner's new role, he'll be responsible for growing Shondaland's digital division.
