"The court reporter's transcript in this case is several thousand pages. ... The Court's vision was at times obscured," said Carter, expressing frustration over the volume of information presented.
"That is a job for the legislature," Carter insisted, positioning the decision on medical practices as outside the purview of the court's responsibilities.
Carter's ruling dismissed the overwhelming support from health organizations for gender-affirming care, mistakenly labeling the science behind it as 'entirely unsettled.'
