"Our newest center on Staten Island expands access to care for people who live or work in and around Charleston, so that they can get medical attention when they need it, whether in-person or virtually," Erica DeMint, market president of Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, said.
"Having opened our very first center in 2014, we continue to expand access to quality care by opening new locations across the New York metropolitan area," said DeMint.
Urgent care visits are typically more affordable than emergency room visits, averaging $150 compared to $2,000, according to MedHelp.
The center, located at 2935 Veterans Road West in South Shore Commons, marks the sixth Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care on Staten Island.
