A man defending a restaurant employee from harassment was stabbed multiple times by a customer, leading to critical injuries that required multiple surgeries.
The altercation escalated when Jose Javier Rivero, 35, pulled out a knife and attacked Yuberlandy Gomez Legra, 39, who tried to intervene in the harassment.
Miami-Dade Police confirmed that Rivero returned to the restaurant seeking his belongings, which led to his swift arrest for the stabbing incident.
Witnesses reported that Gomez Legra attempted to block the knife attack with a trash can lid, showcasing his bravery in the critical moment.
