When the Dolphins have won the toss during the past six games, McDaniel has taken the ball, a change in strategy, instead of deferring his option to receive until the third quarter. Consequently, the Dolphins have scored first in every game of this six-game stretch although not always on their first possession. They've scored first-quarter touchdowns in four of the six games.
The Dolphins (2-7), which have had a Pop-A-Shot mini basketball hoop in the team's locker room at the practice facility all season, had the arcade-style game missing Thursday. Earlier this season, the Ravens removed a Ping-Pong table and other games from their locker room at 1-5 and have since won their last two, including winning in Miami last week. The Dolphins, though, previously maintained that the Pop-A-Shot was not a distraction.

This trio of castoff and no-name cornerbacks - Jack Jones, Rasul Douglas and Cornell Armstrong - has emerged as a reliable crew, something that was on display in Monday's 27-21 win over the New York Jets.
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins linebackers coach Ryan Crow will remain on administrative leave following his August arrest for domestic battery, although the charge against him will reportedly be dropped, coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday. Independent reporter Andy Slater reported Wednesday morning that the misdemeanor charge against Crow will be dropped, but McDaniel said Crow will remain on leave pending a league investigation.
