Heat's Terry Rozier under federal investigation as part of illegal sports betting probe
Briefly

Federal prosecutors are examining whether NBA player Terry Rozier was involved in an illegal sports betting scheme during a March 2023 game. The NBA previously investigated unusual betting activity related to Rozier's performance but found no rule violations. However, U.S. Integrity flagged the betting activities, prompting sportsbooks to limit bets on Rozier's statistical performance. While he has not been charged with any crime, the scrutiny continues as the investigation unfolds.
During the previous two seasons, U.S. Integrity sent out just three alerts about NBA games, people familiar with the matter said. Two of those were about games involving Porter. The other was the game involving Rozier.
In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier's performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans. The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules.
