Assassin's Creed Shadows Will Allow Players to Stick to One Protagonist
Briefly

Assassin's Creed Shadows is an upcoming action-RPG from Ubisoft set in Japan, allowing players to engage with two protagonists: Yasuke, the combat-focused Samurai, and Naoe, the stealth-oriented Shinobi. Creative director Jonathan Dumont emphasized that players can opt to experience the game predominantly through one character, without losing significant content. Each character boasts unique skills and questlines, which enhances the gameplay experience and permits a personalized approach. The game will adapt to the player's choice, making character preference a central theme in gameplay.
According to Dumont, both protagonists will get their separate introductions and personal questlines where players can't pick the other character, but the core storyline of the game will not force players to balance their playthrough across the two.
We're not imposing players try to split the time. So if you prefer one character for any reason, you can play maybe - I don't know, I'm not going to put a percentage - but quite a bit of the game using one of them.
