The heavy snowfall in South Korea has disrupted flights and ferries, leading to the cancelation of 156 flights and 104 ferry services by Thursday.
The Interior Ministry noted that up to 40cm of snow piled up in parts of Seoul, necessitating the deployment of 11,000 personnel for snow removal.
Authorities reported three fatalities due to the severe weather, including a person killed by a collapsing snow-laden golf net and another struck by a falling tree.
This unusually heavy November snow is attributed to the warmer-than-usual seawater temperatures mixing with colder air currents, causing significant disruptions.
