Sources report minimal interaction between the two groups, with significant discontent expressed among legacy workers. Recent meetings offered little clarity, fueling perceptions that Musk's team is evasive. Meanwhile, USDS personnel continue to function on pre-existing projects from the Biden administration, while a culture of secrecy prevails regarding the new staff's activities, raising concerns about transparency and communication in the revised structure.
"Them not showing up shows that they clearly do not give a fuck about us," one source told WIRED. "It's the biggest fuck you because we wait for them to come and they don't."
