The incident occurred on the N80 in the townland of Rathcrogue at about 6.30pm when a car collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian, aged in her 70s, was fatally injured as a result of the collision.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward... They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage.
