PC Chris Johnson has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and former PC Danny Tomkins has been charged with dangerous driving following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

The Napa County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies made a traffic stop on Highway 12 just past midnight, which led to a pursuit when the vehicle fled.
