Gardai search former family home of Kyran Durnin as Taoiseach hopes for breakthrough in 'horrifying' case

Gardaí took possession of a house in Dundalk yesterday under a court order, to conduct technical and forensic examinations related to the disappearance of Kyran Durnin.
Chief Superintendent Alan McGovern mentioned, 'The purpose of these searches is to discover any evidence which might provide us with information as to Kyran's current whereabouts or what has happened to Kyran.'
Despite the ongoing investigation and extensive enquiries, Kyran Durnin, who is now presumed dead, remains missing since his last sighting on August 28, 2024.
Authorities confirmed that Kyran was a student at a local national school until the end of the 2021/2022 school year, highlighting the community aspect of this tragic case.
