In a bipartisan effort, Oregon House leaders have reached out to the FBI, urging an investigation into the unsolved 1989 murder of Oregon Corrections Director Michael Francke, emphasizing that no local agency is currently pursuing the case.
"We have a fairly good idea of how events unfolded but no one is currently in custody or a formal suspect," prosecutor Rasmus Oman said. "We are working broadly and I can't go into which leads we are following."
