Diana Hodges, a 45-year-old digger driver, illustrates the dedication to parkrun by flying home from Barcelona just to participate in a run on Christmas Day.
"I'm absolutely obsessed with the challenges... it’s the community, everyone is so supportive, it doesn’t matter what rate of running or walking or jogging you’re at," Hodges shared.
The festive season sees many participating in parkruns, with some dressing in Santa costumes, highlighting the community spirit and joy of the event on Christmas Day.
Catherine Aspinall achieved alphabeteer status this year, reflecting the commitment many have towards completing 25 runs at different locations, creating a sense of accomplishment.
