Racheal Tiopan expressed her distress over the theft of her son Miguel's custom-made wheelchair, which is essential for his mobility due to cerebral palsy. "It's his legs basically, so it's basically making him stuck," she said.
In a heartfelt plea, Tiopan emphasized the wheelchair's significance, stating, "The manual wheelchair is the only chair that I can be able to take him in, in my car to be able to get anywhere," highlighting how crucial it is for her son to have mobility.
Despite the theft of her Apple AirPods and electric scooter, Tiopan's main concern remains her son’s wheelchair. "I was pissed off, I was pissed off, disbelief," she recounted her emotional response to the loss.
As community members rallied to help, Tiopan stated, "I don't care about anything else, you can leave it on Majestic Way for all I care - leave it somewhere put a post-it on it,' hoping to recover the wheelchair.
