Kelce elaborates more on their laid-back approach, stating, 'Eminemi's not leaving notes. She's not bringing gifts. She's not doing mischief. Power to you if you really go in on your Elf on a Shelf situation. That's not our reality, and I am OK with that.' This draws a clear line between her family's preference and the more elaborate traditions some others follow.
She expresses concern about how her daughters may react when comparing their Elf experiences with friends at school, saying, 'I am nervous for the time where my girls compare notes at school... about the families whose Elves bring gifts and fun things, and then they come home and ask me why Eminemi is such a deadbeat elf.' This highlights the pressures that come with holiday traditions.
