Instead of ordering that the dog be put down, Drinkell was issued with a dog control order requiring Boo Boo to be muzzled and on a lead in public.
Drinkell pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a control of dog order and three counts of assaulting emergency workers.
District Judge Holland took the view that Drinkell's failure to appear in the dock was his own doing. He therefore issued a warrant for his arrest.
