"Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, valid from 6pm today until 6pm on Thursday. The national forecaster has warned of significant rainfall accumulations from heavy showers and longer spells of rain, with isolated thunderstoms possible. Potential impacts may include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions. Rain will be heavy to start off the morning in the north and east with thunder and some lightning, though this is expected to clear up quickly."
"Southeast counties could be in luck for Thursday as it could turn dry and sunny, but the rest of the country will see frequent showers and blustery winds. Longer spells of rain with lighting will particularly hit counties in the northwest, where there will also be a chance of some spot flooding. Highest temperatures will be between 15 and 20C."

Thursday may be dry and sunny in the southeast while the rest of the country sees frequent showers, blustery winds and longer rainy spells with lightning in the northwest and highs of 15–20C. The remainder of the week is expected to remain very wet with breezy conditions and further heavy showers, with uncertainty and potential significant rainfall and blustery winds for the weekend.
