Ministers must reassure consumers feeding cattle Bovaer is safe, says Lady Sheehan
Briefly

Lady Sheehan urged the government to reassure consumers regarding the safety of Bovaer, emphasizing that it is a vital tool against climate change and methane emissions.
‘Cutting methane, a greenhouse gas many times more powerful than carbon dioxide, would give the world breathing space in the fight to control temperature rises,’ Sheehan stated, underlining the urgency.
‘It’s very clear that we have to look at all the options for cutting methane,’ she said, pointing to feed additives like Bovaer that have demonstrated effectiveness.
‘The Food Standards Agency has licensed Bovaer and reassured that it is safe for human consumption and animals, highlighting its effectiveness in reducing methane emissions,’ Sheehan mentioned.
