A man in Half Moon Bay was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly luring an employee to a remote area under the guise of needing fence repairs. Thomas Azevedo reportedly pointed a gun at the man's head and attempted to pull the trigger multiple times. Although the gun did not fire initially, it later discharged into the air during a struggle. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Azevedo was arrested and had numerous firearms on his property; he is being held without bail and is set for a court appearance.
Azevedo allegedly attempted to shoot several more times, causing a scuffle over the gun between him and the man, but no one was injured.
The employee reported that his employer lured him with a false request for repairs, leading to a life-threatening confrontation.
