OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Gov, an AI-powered chatbot tailored for U.S. government agencies. This version builds on features from ChatGPT Enterprise, allowing agencies to deploy OpenAI models within Microsoft Azure. The platform aims to bolster security, privacy, and compliance for handling non-public sensitive data, streamlining the internal authorization processes. Since early 2024, over 90,000 users in more than 3,500 government entities have engaged with ChatGPT, sending over 18 million messages to optimize their daily tasks while adopting innovative technology.
The launch of ChatGPT Gov allows U.S. government agencies to leverage AI technology while ensuring improved security, privacy, and compliance for handling sensitive data.
OpenAI emphasizes that agencies can manage their own security and compliance more effectively with ChatGPT Gov, facilitating the use of AI in government operations.
