He was pronounced deceased on Monday December 22, 2025."
"The Coroner was notified and a post-mortem examination has since been completed, the results of which are not being made public. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Abbey Street area between 12.45pm and 1.15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí. On Monday December 8, 2025 at approximately 1pm a collision occurred in the Abbey Street area of Ennis, Co. Clare involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Gardaí, the National Ambulance Service, and Clare County Fire and Rescue attended the scene and a temporary road closure was in place for a short time. No other injuries were reported. The Coroner was notified and a post-mortem has been completed; results are not public. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and for any camera or dash-cam footage from 12.45pm to 1.15pm; enquiries remain ongoing.
