Despite the first major snowfall impacting local roads and regional rail services in parts of the UK, the courier and mail services are experiencing no significant national disruption so far.
David Jinks from Parcelhero highlighted that this week's snowfall was 'accurately forecasted', allowing couriers to prepare and minimize disruptions to deliveries.
Some localized disruptions are expected, particularly in areas like Clwyd and Powys, where the snowfall was heavier, with some deliveries experiencing delays of up to 48 hours.
Adverse weather conditions, including snow and ice, have also affected flights to and from East Midlands airport, leading to alternative transport for certain packages.
