While 48% of respondents believe datacentres positively impact digital services like video streaming, many remain unaware of the scale of operations they support.
The operators' attempt to keep datacentre locations secret for security reasons has contributed to public ignorance, causing challenges in job fulfillment and policy advocacy.
Despite sectors efforts, nearly half of the respondents (43%) were unaware of the vast number of people and data supported by UK datacentres.
