Three people killed in 'serious incident' in Co Louth, gardai arrest man
"The Armed Response Unit was one of several garda units who attended the scene this morning. Three adults - two men and a woman - were found dead at the scene. It is understood the three deceased are members of the same family. Initial indications are that the three victims died violently. Gardaí arrested a man, aged in his thirties, in relation to the incident at around 10am this morning. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and it is understood medical assistance is being sought for him."
"The incident occurred in a townland near Tallanstown, Co Louth, a village around 11km southwest of Dundalk. The bodies of the three people remain at the scene. The Offices of the Coroner and the State Pathologist have been notified. A male, aged in his 30s, has been arrested and is currently detained at a station in the Garda North West Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Investigations are ongoing."
