Meta is beginning to roll out a feature that lets Instagram users reset their recommendation algorithm, targeting a 'fresh start' in content discovery.
The feature allows users to clear their recommendations across Explore, Reels, and Feed, with the possibility of fine-tuning based on new interactions over time.
"We want to make sure everyone on Instagram - especially teens - has safe, positive, age-appropriate experiences and feels the time they're spending on Instagram is valuable," the company stated.
Instagram chief Adam Mosseri mentioned, "It's going to make your Instagram much less interesting at first, because we're going to treat you as if we know nothing about you."
