Briefly

The UK government's Shared Rural Network (SRN) program has activated 30 mast upgrades as part of its £1.3 billion initiative to close rural mobile notspots. Launched in 2020, the SRN aims to provide 4G coverage to 95% of the UK's landmass by 2025. So far, 21 sites are operational in Wales, five in Scotland, and four in England. The program will enhance connectivity for 280,000 premises and 16,000 km of roads, improving coverage in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Parks, ultimately benefiting millions of users.
The joint initiative aims to extend 4G connectivity to 95% of the UK's landmass by the end of 2025, significantly improving rural coverage across multiple regions.
The SRN program is a collaboration between major operators and the UK government, investing over £1.3bn to upgrade and build masts for better mobile connectivity.
