On the early morning of December 7, 2024, a hit-and-run collision occurred in the Bronx where a tow truck driver fatally struck a 56-year-old woman.
The incident took place near Montefiore Westchester Square Hospital as the victim crossed the street and was subsequently hit by a white tow truck.
Despite prompt aid provided by hospital staff, the victim suffered severe head trauma and could not be saved after the collision.
The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is actively investigating the case, urging anyone with information to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
