Woman's arm severed in dog attack in north Queensland
Briefly

A woman in her 30s sustained significant injuries to her arm which was severed during the attack. Emergency services were called to reports of a dog mauling at a Lonerganne Street property in Garbutt.
Police attempted to subdue the dog but were unsuccessful, leading to the decision to euthanise it at the scene. Investigations into the attack are ongoing.
This incident closely follows another attack in Melbourne just a day prior, where a woman was critically injured by three dogs, which were later fatally shot by police.
