Muni shutting down subway for repairs, disrupting Bay Area service

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency announced a full closure of the Central Subway tunnel from February 26 to March 14 to address persistent water intrusion problems at the Chinatown-Rose Pak Station. This closure will affect service between Chinatown-Rose Pak and 4th & Brannan stations, requiring a replacement T Bus shuttle service. In addition to repairing the drainage system, the shutdown will allow for the completion of public art installations and improvements to roof gutters, impacting transit access to key downtown areas, particularly for events at Chase Center.
