In December 2023, Rosamunde bar reopened under new ownership by bartender Danny Mendez and his partner Sandra Pulley, following its closure after 13 years. Mendez has revitalized the bar with 15 sausages and 22 beers, including Guinness and micheladas, while focusing on a friendly community atmosphere. The bar will participate in SF Beer Week, hosting events featuring international beer pairings. Mendez, a local with Mexican heritage, emphasizes the importance of community connections in the Mission District, which he has called home for over a decade.
"I want to keep a good, friendly, welcoming atmosphere," said Mendez.
Mendez, who is in charge of beer buying and 'overall vibes,' said customers can already see his touch at the business.
Mendez stated Rosamunde will host special events that will include Scottish and Canadian beer and food pairings.
"It's my heritage. I'm Mexican, and I'm surrounded by Latinos here," said Mendez.
