Drake's withdrawal follows a counter-filing from Spotify that rejected his claims, calling them a 'subversion of the normal judicial process.' UMG also denied the allegations.
Drake's company Frozen Moments LLC stated it would withdraw the action 'without costs to any party,' suggesting a mutual agreement to resolve the issue.
A separate action in Bexar County, Texas, remains open, claiming UMG should have blocked Lamar's track for describing Drake in a derogatory manner.
The claims against UMG also include allegations of a pay-to-play promotional scheme with iHeartRadio, invoking the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
