In an innovative new strategy, roads policing inspector Peter Woods highlighted the effectiveness of using unmarked lorries to monitor drivers, catching offences that might otherwise go unnoticed.

During the short journey, it became apparent that the visibility from within the lorry offered a unique perspective, allowing police to identify seatbelt violations and phone usage with ease.
