A Staten Island mother shared the traumatic experience of her autistic son who was attacked by alleged gang members of Los Diablos de la 42. On May 4, the 16-year-old was assaulted at a bus stop by four youths, who punched and kicked him before stealing his belongings. The incident followed a previous attack by the gang on police officers. Fortunately, a bystander intervened and got the boy medical help. Police later arrested two teenagers associated with the gang, indicating this organization targets vulnerable individuals.
"My son was sitting at a bus stop, they approached him, they attacked him, they threw him on the floor," said the boy's distraught mother.
"There was a good Samaritan who thankfully, basically saved my son's life. She was able to grab him off the floor," his mother recounted.
