Miriam Yarimi, a Brooklyn wigmaker facing manslaughter charges, is contemplating legal action against the NYPD following a contentious psychiatric arrest last year. Yarimi asserts her rights in an Instagram video, questioning the legality of police entering her home without a warrant, alleging a false report of suicidal intent made by an ex-partner. Amidst a bitter custody dispute over her child, she expresses resilience, stating in a TikTok post that she intends to emerge stronger from her struggles, hinting at a desire for empowerment and justice against perceived injustice from law enforcement.
"Tell me why you want to take me out when I said I'm OK and you barged in," Miriam Yarimi, 35, raged at cops who showed up at her home in October, according to an Instagram video she posted on the app.
Yarimi claimed in the Instagram post that an ex called police and said that she was suicidal.
"I have clothes on," she answers. "I'm not going anywhere. This is my bed. You barged into my home without my knowledge, without a warrant, without even a reason why you're here, without a validating excuse as to what the phone call was even about."
In a separate post on TikTok on March 11, Yarimi again referenced her latest encounter with cops. "They thought they could break me, but I'm coming back to buy the whole building," she wrote in the post, which is titled, "Don't you ever underestimate me."
