Youth gun deaths rise in states that relaxed laws - Harvard Gazette
Briefly

A study conducted by Mass General Brigham found that child gun deaths have significantly increased since a 2010 Supreme Court ruling which allowed states more freedom in enacting firearm laws. The research identified an alarming 6,029 additional child fatalities in states with the least restrictive gun laws. In contrast, states with stricter laws showed no significant increase in child mortality from firearms. The study illuminates the direct impact of gun legislation on child safety and highlights increased disparities among Black youth in permissive states.
"Gun laws truly make a difference for the collective safety of children."
