Mayor Adams warns anti-ICE NYC protesters: 'We will not allow you to destroy our city'
Briefly

Mayor Eric Adams announced a strong stance against Antifa and other outside agitators aiming to incite violence during protests in New York City. He emphasized law enforcement's role in maintaining order and protecting citizens from disruption. Following recent anti-ICE protests that led to significant arrests, Adams reinforced the NYPD's commitment to allowing peaceful demonstrations but taking decisive action against those who seek chaos. He drew parallels between current protests and previous instances of outside agitation, particularly at university campuses, warning against radicalization efforts.
We will allow peaceful protests, but we will not allow you to destroy our city or harm innocent people.
We know that there are those who travel our country and embed themselves into issues like Antifa and others.
If you recall during the Columbia protest, I talked about the outside agitators, professional agitators that want to come on our college campuses and radicalize our students.
Commissioner Tisch gave a very loud and clear message. We will take action whenever that takes place.
