CEO Casey Osborn of EMIT Technologies plans to reinvent an abandoned Kmart in Sheridan, Wyoming as their new headquarters designed by CLB Architects. This nearly 120,000-square-foot campus will unify operations from four fabrication facilities and enhance connectivity with a variety of amenities for employees and the local community. The design incorporates a unique laser-perforated scrim that reflects the company's industrial methods and materials. With shared entrances and collaborative spaces, the design promotes equality and interaction among all staff levels, fostering a vibrant workplace suitable for both work and leisure.
"Rather than designing disparate spaces to support an office community, we integrated all of the sectors of business into one structure."
"Staff members enter and exit through one door, and a range of areas, from flex spaces to the library, encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas among individuals at every level."
"The entrance not only sets the tone for the entire experience, it is also emblematic of EMIT's 'no collar' workforce where all are equal."
"The hub includes sections where industrial and administrative staff can connect during the workday. Many of these offerings are also utilized by locals and employees' families."
