Teddy Tawil and Irving Fallas, co-founders of Happy Tails, started their dog daycare during the pandemic, inspired by the need for pet socialization. Witnessing pets feeling neglected while their owners worked from home motivated them to create a space for dogs to socialize and enjoy outdoor activities. They improvised by purchasing and converting a van for transporting dogs to various hiking locations, capitalizing on social media to broaden their outreach. Despite their success, they express regret about not establishing separate communication channels for their business operations.
Our vision was simple: to provide pets an opportunity to socialize and have fun outside of their home.
We purchased a 1994 Dodge Caravan for $6,000, gutted the inside and started going door to door to pick up lucky pups.
