'It looks good': Patriots' Will Campbell, Milton Williams trending in right direction for Week 18
"Left tackle Will Campbell and defensive tackle Milton Williams are trending in the right direction to be activated off injured reserve for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Friday. "We'll see how they respond to today's work. Try to get them a full week of work in, but I think it looks good," Vrabel said. "Both of them were able to work the whole week, and we'll see where we're at tomorrow.""
"Linebacker Robert Spillane, meanwhile, will miss his fourth straight game, essentially, on Sunday. Spillane, who is the Patriots' leading tackler, was back at practice for the first time on Friday since he was on the sideline for the entirety of the Patriots' Week 15 loss to the Bills with an ankle injury. "Just trying to get him to return to play, and he felt good enough to go out there and do a little bit of work in a limited fashion,""
Will Campbell and Milton Williams have been on injured reserve and are trending toward activation for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Dolphins after practicing this week. Both players were able to work the whole week and their progress will be evaluated after Saturday's practice. Linebacker Robert Spillane missed several games with an ankle injury but returned to limited practice Friday and remains out for Sunday. Edge rusher Harold Landry, defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga, and left guard Jared Wilson will miss the game. Fullback Jack Westover is listed as questionable with an ankle issue.
