Patriots bolster offensive line by reportedly signing veteran tackle Morgan Moses
Briefly

The New England Patriots have reportedly signed veteran tackle Morgan Moses, a versatile player with 11 years of NFL experience, to a three-year contract worth up to $28.5 million. Although primarily a right tackle, Moses adds crucial stability as the Patriots look to address their offensive line woes after a disappointing 2024 season. The signing allows Mike Onwenu to remain at right guard, while providing an opportunity for second-year backup Caedan Wallace to further develop. However, New England still needs to secure a left tackle to complete their offensive line upgrades after allowing 52 sacks last season.
Moses is a seasoned veteran with 11 years of experience in the NFL ranks. The 6-foot-6 tackle spent the 2024 season with the Jets as the team's starting right tackle - appearing in 14 games.
While New England still has to shore up their offensive line by adding a left tackle via free agency, trade, or the NFL Draft, Moses should add some stability to the right tackle position.
By locking in Moses at right tackle, New England should also be able to keep Mike Onwenu at his preferred position at right guard moving forward.
Moses, a third-round pick in 2014, has primarily played most of his career in Washington (2014-20) before spending stints with the Jets (2021 and 2024) and the Ravens (2022-23).
