Juan Rivas, 45, was arrested Saturday afternoon hours after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend Yesenia Hall, 42, to death and attacking her 16-year-old son in their Bronx home. Rivas repeatedly stabbed Hall in the neck and torso, then stabbed the teenager in the back and neck. The boy survived and remains in stable condition. A neighbor heard the girlfriend screaming and begging the attacker to stop before silence fell. After the attack, Rivas changed clothes and fled. Police found blood throughout the apartment. Rivas faces charges of murder, manslaughter, attempted murder, and weapon possession.
