Police are searching for a man wearing a black sweater, multicolored pants, gray shoes and a face mask who carried a backpack. The shooting occurred around 10:25 a.m. after an argument as Jackson held open the store door. An eyewitness described hearing an argument and immediate gunfire. EMS and Midtown South Precinct officers pronounced Jackson dead. Surveillance video shows the suspect pacing inside a subway car after fleeing into the 50 Street station and boarding a northbound C train.
