Dubbed the "planet parade," the four visible planets—Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Saturn—will provide a spectacular sight in the night sky during January 2025.
NASA clarifies that while these planets seem aligned in the sky, they appear along the ecliptic line, which is the plane of the solar system.
The best time to view the planets is a couple of hours after dark; find Venus and Saturn southwest, Jupiter overhead, and Mars in the east.
Mark your calendars for January 21, when the moon's last quarter phase offers a prime opportunity to see the four bright planets together.
