SpaceX flight launches 4 space tourists into first-ever polar orbit
Briefly

Chun Wang, a Bitcoin investor and polar explorer, embarked on an unprecedented SpaceX flight from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, becoming the first space tourist to travel over the North and South poles. Accompanied by three crew members, Wang's journey includes plans for numerous scientific experiments, such as the first human X-rays in space. The fully automated Falcon rocket took them to a targeted altitude of 270 miles, with the entire polar adventure lasting about 3.5 days. Wang aims to push boundaries and share knowledge from this unique perspective of the planet.
"Enjoy the views of the poles. Send us some pictures," SpaceX Launch Control radioed once the capsule reached orbit.
Chun Wang, a Chinese-born entrepreneur, hurtled into orbit from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on a trip to take in views of the poles from space.
Wang has already visited the polar regions in person and wants to view them from space. The trip is also about 'pushing boundaries, sharing knowledge.'
The crew plans two dozen experiments - including taking the first human X-rays in space and brought along more cameras than usual to document their journey.
