A survey of 2,000 parents revealed that screen time disputes consume around 96 hours each year, highlighting concerns over technology's impact on child-parent relationships. Two-thirds of parents believe screen addiction robs them of precious moments with their children, while 41% fear their children are losing out on childhood due to technology. Major worries include exposure to online predators and negative influences. Most parents acknowledge that screen time may be replacing essential developmental skills, urging for better strategies to manage children's technology use.
"This survey demonstrates how technology is currently aligned against families instead of allied with them," said Tim Estes, CEO and Co-Founder of AngelQ.
Parents reported concerning side effects from excessive screen time, revealing a need for better management tools for families.
