Taqueria El Ultimo Baile, a popular Oakland restaurant, is relocating to San Francisco’s downtown Saluhall, with an expected opening in late June. Owner Dominic Prado expressed excitement about maintaining a consistent location after previous struggles led to the closure of their Oakland site. The new location will showcase signature dishes such as chargrilled meats in handmade tortillas, along with rotating specials. Prado hopes to gauge success and potentially extend his residency beyond the initial four-month commitment, which follows challenges with revenue loss and operational issues in Oakland.
Prado confirmed to SFGATE that his restaurant is headed to San Francisco's downtown market Saluhall and anticipates opening around late June.
Prado stated, "It's good to be back and have a consistent location on this side of the bridge," reflecting his enthusiasm for reopening.
After closing in Oakland due to construction woes and declining revenue, Prado is optimistic about his new food hall venture and hopes to extend his stay.
His signature dishes will include chargrilled meats served on handmade tortillas, with plans to introduce guisados as specials throughout the week.
