OK Omens Brings on Chef Joseph Papas to Run the Kitchen
Briefly

OK Omens, a casual sibling restaurant to the former Castagna, has been redefined after the departure of executive chef Justin Woodward. Sommelier Brent Braun and co-owner Monique Siu sought to tell the story of Portland through a return to hyper-seasonal Pacific Northwest cooking. The new chef, Joseph Papas, was chosen based on recommendations from the local restaurant community. With a decade of experience and a focus on local ingredients, Papas is set to innovate the dining experience at OK Omens.
In 2018, OK Omens transformed under Sommelier Brent Braun and then-executive chef Justin Woodward, earning James Beard nominations for their wine program.
Chef Joseph Papas is taking the lead at OK Omens, focusing on hyper-seasonal Pacific Northwest cooking to highlight local produce, meat, and seafood.
